HOW IT ALL BEGAN…
At a very young age, I knew I loved to make my friends feel pampered and beautiful, as that was accompanied by many “spa nights”. With a mother who worked as a hairdresser, I would assist her with all of her clients. This was a fun way to earn money for the things I enjoyed such as shopping, makeup, and of course manicures and pedicures. That’s when it clicked – I was finally doing something I truly loved. It’s never work if you love what you do!
When I met my husband twenty years ago, I left my home in Atlanta for his home in New Jersey. I knew my dream was to open a salon (someday) but I needed to put in a lot of time and effort before that could happen. After years of hard work in Little Silver, I decided it was time for the next chapter of my life. I hated the typical “in and out” atmosphere of other salons. I knew a salon with a little southern hospitality was what New Jersey needed. With over 300 clients, my husband and I opened a beautiful salon in Monmouth Beach. Three happy and beautiful children later, those first 15 years flew by. With the talented stylists, as well as expanding the salon adding skincare and hair care, business was booming and it wasn’t stopping. Fast forward, October 29, 2012 and that all came to a screeching stop. Our hard work was wiped out by Super Storm Sandy. Sandy took not only our salon, but our hard work, our dreams, and all of our efforts with it. Ten months of determination, hustle, and hard work paid off because on August 10, 2013 we opened our current salon in the beautiful town of Rumson. This salon represents “home” in more ways than one. Clients again became friends and the new community welcomed us with open arms. Not only does every single person feel like they’re home when they enter our salon, but we as well feel like we are finally home. So come on in, let me show you around, and I promise to make you happy, always.
